A few Garden Pictures from the past few weeks

 I harvested our garlic right at the end of May. We were just about to leave on vacation and it ended up being the perfect time. They dried in my bedroom while we were gone with a fan on them. By the time we got back they were ready to braid and store in the basement.

 The kids in early June. This is right after we got back from our trip. The blueberries were ready and they were out eating them all!

 I was actually worried at the beginning of this year. My kale and my napa cabbage didn't turn out as well as last years because of a snail and slug infestation. I learned something though and that is not to plant my cabbages so close together. The red express cabbage came out well though!

 Corn is growing as fast as someone else I know! I actually need to update this picture our corn has tassels and is growing husks now.

June 14- the first ripe blackberries

 June 16- Harvesting a good amount every few days but it still wasn't enough to keep up with the kids. We went to the local you pick to get enough to freeze for the year.

This one is from last Friday- I love having fruit in the mix! It did take me a few hours to harvest everything though. Whew!

Whats going on- Powder Room

It's been a while since I've posted on here! The last 6 months were too crazy busy to do anything other than what I considered necessities at the time and this blog wasn't on my list. So be prepared for a lot of posting to update over the next few weeks.

I don't have too much as far as house projects go... Which is the other reason I haven't posted. The slow amount of progress is very depressing!

We still have an half finished kitchen. Cam did put the open shelving up so at least we are functioning in there.  Midway through the kitchen project Cam decided to pull off the bathroom wallpaper, which led to me doing what I actually wanted in there on the wall, wainscoting half way up. If you have boys you understand why wipeable walls is a must :) Then once the wainscoting was almost done, I realized the floors had to go. It was a total domino effect! I didn't think the floors were that bad until the walls started looking so good! And then I wanted a new vanity too. I know. It's bad.
So Cameron said he could build the vanity and he did. Where we are at now is that I'm waiting patiently (or not so patiently) for him to paint it with the paint sprayer (which I why I haven't done it myself). And lay the new tile on the floor. And finish the wainscoting. And then put everything else back together. When it's done I will show pictures. But for now here is some before and halfway pics...

 This is the best before I have. The bathroom is super tiny. I'm not quite sure how to get a good picture! Just take my word that the wallpaper was hideous. Even though you can't see it much in this picture above.

This is post wallpaper removal. We have primer and wainscoting part way up now. But no pictures of how it looks now. I promise it's not much to see... yet.
